Blackout, without the hardware store trip.
Some bedrooms just aren’t dark. The streetlight that comes on at 6. The neighbor’s porch light. Sun at 5:30 in June. A hotel room with those curtains that stop two inches short of the wall.
This fixes that in about thirty seconds. Press the suction cups onto the glass, smooth the panel flat, done. No rod, no drill, no asking the landlord. Pull it down in the morning and it folds into the pouch it came in.
It’s a thick blackout fabric with a matte black face, so it doesn’t look like a trash bag taped to the window. It also doesn’t let light through the way a cheap “room darkening” curtain does. When it’s up, the room is dark enough that you’ll reach for the light switch at noon.

A couple of honest notes
It sticks to glass, not to walls or window frames. If your window has a textured or frosted surface, the cups won’t hold. And give the glass a wipe before you put it up the first time — dust is the main reason suction cups let go.
